Install New Flooring (1325 SF plus 6 stairs)
House is vacant and empty for easy work environment. GOOD WINTER WORK!

Existing house in Germantown, General Contractor just bought for his private residence and business office.

Entire carpet, tack strip, staples, baseboard has been removed.    Plywood subfloor has been screwed down at 16”OC with screws to avoid squeaks.   I want to make sure no squeaks.

The SCOPE DOES INCLUDE the (6) steps risers and runs, ONLY the steps on the right side going up are included at this time. Figure on a 1/4 round on the sides of the steps.
The entry landing will stay ceramic tile. Steps appear to be properly made and dimensioned, by installer Must make sure that finished product is equal in rise and run, per code the deepest tread can be no more than 3/8" greater than the shallowest, The tallest riser can be no more than 3/8" higher than the shortest, and nosing is required on the steps, 3/4 to 1-1/4". Shim and adjust as needed.

There will be a granite surround in front of the fireplace, about 3’ deep by 8’ wide

Good work for winter!
Looking for a good $/SF price to get this done.    Probably Mid to Late Feb.

  1. s the flooring contractor to provide approved underlayment?

And will setting material/glue be provided? I have installed cork numerous times and every supplier has their own glues needed that are quite expensive.

Also, is it a pre finished product? Some of the suppliers require a finish aplied after installation.

    Thanks
